Robot so lifelike it's creepy

  1. Robot? All I saw were two skinny dancers struggling under the weight of a soldier's pack.

  2. Isn't it amazing? I found myself actually feeling sorry for the thing when they shove it sideways, trying to knock it off its feet.

And today we read about a man who built a robot to kill him: Suicide by robot.

  7. Commenting too much, I know, but:

I just wanted to confess that I'm compelled to watch the video again, but I'm kinda nervous about it. I just keep thinking about how it rights itself on the ice and . . . I can't do it. It's really unnerving. I had no idea I could be freaked like that. Thanks for teaching me something about myself.

Clowns, nuclear war, and balancing robots. Huh.

  8. The fact that I can be made to feel emotions for a machine that I'm watching on a machine... unreal. Makes me think it really may be true that carbon life was just a way to pave the way for silicon.
