I'm sure Dey House is fine. The tornado cut a very clear path northeastward from the Clinton/Burlington intersection. The main downtown and the campus look fine, from what I've seen.
Horrible and eerie. Glad everyone's fine. Last year I thought I heard someone say IC hadn't been hit by a tornado in like 30 years. Is that true? Is this more Katrina global warming craziness?
I have never felt so lucky to have been so oblivious. Trees are sheared a block from my home, but not at my home. How?
ReplyDeleteThanks for the pictures. This is terrible.
VERY glad to hear everyone is okay.
ReplyDeleteHow does the Dey House look? My old digs above John's?
No visible damage to John's. Dunno about Dey House... anyone?

ReplyDeleteTLB and Brando's block is something to see. Egad.

ReplyDeleteI heard today that this was the first tornado ever to hit Iowa City itself. I blame George W. Bush.
