Adios, muchachos

Tomorrow morning I will point my car East and head out of town for the saltier and more donut-strewn environs of South Dartmouth, Massachusetts. My house is four blocks from the ocean. Feel free to visit.

I will miss Iowa City terribly.

  1. ah bon voyage. The Midwest will be an altogether drabber and less humerous place after the departure of the Clan of Amore. May the trail East be strewn with sprinkles and custard.

  2. Not too far from where you'll be there is an annual meat-on-swords festival. I expect you to doublefist on my behalf.

  3. Safe travels, El Gordo. The IC will miss you. At least we'll always have the pub crawl T-shirts.

  4. It's already weird just knowing you are leaving this morning. But we'll see you in Massachusetts.

  5. Adios, El Gordo. May we meet again in either your new hometown or the Motherland (ie, TX).

Now, put your tongue back in your mouth.

  7. El Gordo y El Lumpo se fue? What is happening? I feel like Chicken Little here. I thought you married couples were all in it for the Long Haul, and now it looks like you're all renting U-Hauls. Was it the tornadoes that did it?

    Que pasa?

    (Buen viaje, familia Gordo-Amore!)

  8. To clarify: I'm talking about IC residency, not marital status.

  9. El Gordo has been hired as a Dean at a certain New England law school. This is a bit like Bart Simpson becoming Principal of Springfield Elementary.

  10. Humph. I posted earlier but it never showed.

    Godspeed, El Gordo. Godspeed.
