"Man acts as though he were the shaper and master of language, while in fact language remains the master of man." -- Heidegger
Woo-hoo! Way to go, Arda, where'er ye may be.
I like that a lot.
Congrats! Go poets!
I feel a swelling of spirit, a sort of bliss about the world when I read a line like, "The golden evening takes flat, slow turns outside."
I have read this poem probably 20 times and I think it is a serious work of poetic art. I love it.Obviously I am a huge Ardasan (Arda + partisan), but I believe I'd make the same assertion even if I weren't.The plunge is a proud friend today.
Congrats -- one of your students from Iowa Young Writers lives two doors down from me -- still writing.
Hi Everyone,I have not tuned in for a little while and just saw this today! Thanks for reading my poem, and for all of your thoughtful comments. Hope you are all doing well. I am in New York, so if you are ever passing through, I hope you will say hello!
