Or maybe not so much. In defense of the cover, Remnick, the editor, says that readers will get the joke. I don't doubt that. But will readers appreciate the joke as satire (it's not the most sophisticated image) and will certain nefarious non-readers use the cover against Obama?
My feeling is that good satire always has a place, but this is lazy and sensationalistic, and if this does anything, it will be bad for Obama. Anyone else?
