Earth Goat temporary headquarters

En route to Massachusetts, our headquarters have been established temporarily along the banks of the Tippecanoe River in western Indiana. This is a blood red state, folks -- and its colors, uh, color, DOES NOT run -- hence our exact location will remain undisclosed. Our two editorial assistants can be seen here scanning the perimeter for threats from law enforcement. Behind them is the primary building housing our facilities, and beyond that, the river. Today I went around shooting some other photos. Enjoy. The day the Democratic presidential candidate wins this county will be the same day all the fire hydrants spew tapioca pudding.

Okay, I get the "UR" bit--very clever. But why is the "N" in "missing" backward?

Viva la revolucion behind enemy lines, Agent Grendel. I love tapioca.

Holy crap those are good fo-tos. I I love "Best Catfish by a Dam Site." It'd be hilarious if you panned camera right and saw there was actually a river where workers were erecting a large scaffolding.

I think the backwards "N" is to draw in the kids, who think it's hilarious when adults spell things wrong (see the R in Toys "R" Us).

And there really is a hydroelectric dam, right by the restaurant. We went there yesterday. That's why catfish -- they live in the deep pool created by the dam.

Other thing is there is a self-serve honor system farmer's market cart on my road. A trailer lined with huge vegetables -- I mean zuccini nearly the size of watermelons -- a scale, and a box where you put the money. I picked up a few things, opened the box. There must have been $50. When I left there was $54.

Obviously there's a dam. I was obviously kidding.

I bet I wouldn't need a sign to tell me I just passed Tim McQuinn. I bet I'd know already.

Each of these pictures deserves applause. The used car lot. The broken sign above the sign for signs.

Awesome pics, Grendel.

If those hydrants do spew tapioca pudding, just make sure not to eat a whole bucket of it...

EAST OTTAWA, IN--After Foster's Lawn Ornaments installed a small sign on the shoulder of state route 229, business immediately shot up 35%.

"They was coming out'n the woodwork," said Foster James, the shop's proprietor. "Everyone already knewed about our business, they just ain't knewed how fur away it were."

Sales were so brisk at Foster's that by early evening, all that remained were a couple of broken flamingos and a wicker bench that looked sized for a little person.

"He comin back with a little truck," said Foster of the bench.
