I was glad Never Let Me Go didn't win - but I can't tell if I'd like this one or not. There was the interesting tidbit in today's NYT about how Banville skewered Saturday by Ian McEwan, who made the initial list but not the short list.
According to Publisher's Lunch, the book has sold around 3,000 copies, so if nobody here has read it, I'm not surprised.
The Sea is actually really hard to get your hands on. My library system composed of about ten generally well stocked libraries didn't have a single copy.
