I would ask for relics, but I still have a lock of your chest hair from that time we went to the Foxhead after our first teaching group...yowza!

If anyone wants to confirm the accuracy of the quote in question, though I'm sure no one would doubt it for a single second, not one second, not even a nanosecond, because I sure didn't, even though I did immediately track down the review upon reading that someone had called Alex a saint, but that doesn't mean I doubted it, per se, because who would doubt such a thing, really, it's here: http://www.natcath.com/NCR_Online/archives2/2005a/021105/ss021105j.htm

What about all those times you touched me before--do those count?

I was deeply surprised and saddened to earn that Alex died more than five years ago, though it does lift my spirits that a bishop found evidence of "heroic virtue" and saw fit to declare him a "Servant of God." It also heartens me that the cardinals of the "Congregation for the Causes of Saints" at the Vatican examined his life, and the pope proclaimed him "venerable." And, of course, it's wonderful that St. El Gordo de Amore continues to post on this humble site from his Heavenly Realm.

But now that the tears of both sorrow and joy are beginning to dry (so soon!) from my cheeks, I am curious about which miracle occurred as a result of Alex's intercession before beatification, and which miracle occurred after his beatification. The 2004 Boston Red Sox were surely one. But the other?
