Don't forget to BUY it, too.
Awesome! I can't wait to read it--rock on!
This looks marvellous, and I've bought it - but how come it went from position 180,000 at Amazon yesterday to position 1,250 today? That's an extrordinary leap. I'm delighted for the author - but how does such a thing happen? Or is there so little difference between the two ranks that the slae of 50 or 75 books can make that much difference?
I just ordered this as well. Please, could former classmates stop publishing good books? It's getting expensive.
Anonymous, there were a spate of reports a few years ago about how easy it is to make large leaps on Amazon: The vast majority of books sell very few copies on any given day or week, so a sales spike for a new release, for example, can make a huge difference in the rankings. At any rate, if I remember correctly, the difference between a book ranked, say, 100,000 and one ranked 150,000 may as well be arbitrary.
